Hyperion has developed revolutionary methods to measure physiological fatigue. Leveraging support from the U.S. military, Hyperion has identified methods for measuring physical changes that occur as individuals become fatigued. Hyperion has developed the following fatigue measurement approaches:

• Fatigue Biomarker Index or FBI: The composition of saliva changes significantly as individuals become physically fatigued. Some chemicals found naturally in the saliva are reduced 10,000-fold in individuals who are highly fatigued compared to the same individuals when they are well rested. Recently Hyperion filed a patent application on the use of these previously undiscovered, naturally occurring molecules found in saliva. The biomarkers we have tested are very stable and can be measured in our laboratories using cutting edge analytical techniques.
• Heart Rate Variability or HeRV-Q: The electrical signal of the heart changes as individuals become fatigued. Hyperion has developed novel methods of using electrical signals collected from the heart to measure fatigue in near real time.
