  • Scientist / Subject Matter Expert
    Hyperion seeks experienced Ph.D. and M.D. level Scientists, or Subject Matter Experts, with biomedical research experience. These positions cover projects involving microbiology, immunology, chemistry, toxicology, bioinformatics, medical device development, and other topics. Candidates must be creative, driven, and hard-working. Successful contractor Scientists must be able to engage with government leadership and other lab personnel to accomplish research goals and mitigate logistical issues. Excellent communication skills, broad knowledge of military medicine, and persistence are the keys to success. Candidates must be able to demonstrate research results through peer-reviewed publications. Often a background in animal models and surgical techniques is desired. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Laboratory Technician / Research Assistant
    We frequently seek skilled Laboratory Technicians, or Research Assistants, to assist with biomedical research. Candidates must possess at least a B.S. or B.A. degree in a scientific discipline and have experience working in a research setting (academic, pharmaceutical, or government). Relevant work experience in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, microbiology, analytical chemistry, toxicology, or molecular genetics is desired. Experience with lab animal studies is a huge plus and occasionally a necessity for consideration. Communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to get along with a diverse group of people are essential. Frequently these positions require U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a criminal background check and physical exam.
  • Clinical Research Coordinator / Clinical Research Assistant
    We are interested in experienced Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) for clinical trial monitoring and coordination. Ideal candidates must be confident, motivated, and have excellent communication skills. Experience with government-sponsored clinical studies is a huge plus. Specific tasks include compilation and organization of patient data and test results, patient recruitment, coordination of patient transportation and clinic visits, and working closely with clinicians and support staff to ensure all site personnel comply with protocol and regulatory requirements. Candidates must have experience in management of studies generating data for submission to the FDA. This responsibility includes setting up a GCP-compliant reporting environment. Successful contractor CRCs are punctual, meticulous, highly organized, and able to work independently. Candidates must possess at minimum a B.S. or B.A. degree; occasionally a nursing degree is a necessity for consideration. CRA certification is not always required but is desired.
