Hyperion Biotechnology, Inc. (Hyperion) is a biomedical and clinical research company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Hyperion is a Certified 8(a), 8(m) Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. We have a long history of delivering high-quality biomedical research program management and staffing. Our management team members all have doctoral degrees in scientific and clinical disciplines, giving Hyperion a unique grasp on the technical requirements of customers engaged in state-of-the-art biomedical research. Our contractor employees work on-site nationwide from the Washington, D.C. area to Texas to California. We provide a wide range of research and staffing services to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force (USAF), and U.S. Army at Ft. Detrick, MD and the Institute of Surgical Research at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Our experience with the USAF covers pre-clinical (in vitro and in vivo) and clinical validation of experimental therapeutic agents and diagnostic technologies. The scope of work includes infectious diseases and trauma research using swine and rodent models as well as assessment of physiological responses using psychometry and advanced molecular techniques such as PCR, ELISA, immunoblotting, flow cytometry, and other approaches. Our support of clinical research in the USAF includes development of animal and human use protocols, staffing of Clinical Research Coordinators and Animal Surgical Technicians, and evaluation and testing of human and animal biosamples. Similarly, the services we offer to the U.S. Navy include program / logistics management of human clinical trials, clinical research support staff, biomedical research for infectious diseases and Traumatic Brain Injury, and bioinformatics support.

In addition to our support for federal research programs, Hyperion conducts scientific R&D in-house in our laboratories located in San Antonio. Our scientists are discovering novel biomarkers to assess human performance outcomes such as physical and cognitive fatigue.
